Oprah Winfrey is looking better than ever and keeping it real.
The 62-year-old showcases a slimmer figure on the cover of her O the Oprah Magazine's April 2016 issue after losing at least 26 pounds
since becoming a Weight Watchers spokesmodel and part owner last year.
She is joined by nine other, non-famous "real" women, marking a first
for the outlet.
"This month I join forces with a legion of women,
all of us declaring a win-win for our bodies and ourselves,"
Winfrey said. "Because I know this for sure: With age comes the
understanding and appreciation of your most important asset, your
health."
Winfrey graces the cover of O in a black top and black, white
and red skirt by Michael Kors Collection, paired with a shiny black
W.Kleinberg belt. She also showcases her slimmer figure in other photos
published in the issue. In one, she appears in a skintight red
knee-length Diane Von Furstenberg dress.
The talk show and cable mogul has battled weight issues for decades.
"Gone, for me, are the days of wanting to be thin to fit into anything other than my best body and best life," she said in O.
"Most important, I feel vibrant and charged up for all the great
ventures and adventures I know are coming. Every day offers a new chance
to embrace the wonder of being alive. And believe me, I do. I pay
attention to the tiniest things...Another spring, new life. Nature
changes herself yet again. We can change ourselves, too—blossoming into
better habits."
In October, Winfrey bought a 10 percent stake in
Weight Watchers for $43.2 million and began its diet plan. Last
month, the company reported a 21 percent drop in fourth-quarter net
revenue, prompting its shares to tumble 27 percent in extended
trading. The paper value of Winfrey's stake plunged by about $24 million. The stock has since risen by more than three points, as of Thursday.
