A young man has been arrested by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly making away with his master's vehicle to celebrate Valentine Day.
Saturday THISDAY gathered that the suspect, Emmanuel John, 28 years old, duplicated the ignition key and removed the vehicle from his master’s residence without her consent.

It was learnt that Emmanuel who was arrested at Abraham Adesanya Estate, Lekki, on February 14, 2016 planned to take the car, a Toyota Corolla, to a Valentine party show at Splash Hotel, Sangotedo, Ajah.
Investigations revealed that John had a week before carrying out his plans on 14th February, 2016, cut the Toyota Corolla car ignition key, without the knowledge of her boss, Mrs. Flora Ighalo. When he was not on duty on Sunday afternoon, the 28-year-old suspect sneaked into the residence of his boss and made away the car using the duplicated key.
“I and my friend, Oscar, wanted to drive the Toyota Corolla car to Splash Hotel’s Valentine Show on Sunday night. Prior to that, I persuaded Madam to give me a go-ahead to cut a spare key, but she declined. But a week before the February 14 Valentine celebration I duplicated the key without her knowledge.

“Even though, she excused me from work on Sundays, but I still sneaked into her residence and made away with the car after church service. I took the car to my residence in Ajuwe Area, Ajah, Lagos.
“I was on my way home when Madam began calling me. When I picked the call, she said I should report to her house without delay; that I was going to take her somewhere. I obliged and I headed towards Abraham Adesanya Estate.
“I was at Abraham Adesanya Estate Roundabout, trying to enter the Estate when I suddenly sighted a man, who blocked me with his car. It was there I was arrested by the operatives of the RRS. They asked me where I took the car to, since morning and I explained everything to them.
“Madam has been very nice to me. She pays me N35, 000 as my monthly salary. I am almost like her family member. I am free with her and her family members”, said Emmanuel.
“I was on my way home when Madam began calling me. When I picked the call, she said I should report to her house without delay; that I was going to take her somewhere. I obliged and I headed towards Abraham Adesanya Estate.
“I was at Abraham Adesanya Estate Roundabout, trying to enter the Estate when I suddenly sighted a man, who blocked me with his car. It was there I was arrested by the operatives of the RRS. They asked me where I took the car to, since morning and I explained everything to them.
“Madam has been very nice to me. She pays me N35, 000 as my monthly salary. I am almost like her family member. I am free with her and her family members”, said Emmanuel.
